Jos Grond

Vice President Business Development

Jos Grond is VP Business Development and heading the activities for the further expansion in the APAC Region at Cumulocity. Jos was involved in the early initiatives in the IoT space as part of Nokia's startups & innovation program in the US in 2010, which subsequently became Cumulocity. Before Cumulocity he worked for more than twenty years in various senior management positions in Nokia and elsewhere, working with a wide range of Operator Customers across the US and Europe.


Troy Conlan

Manager ICT, Unitywater

Troy is an experienced and outcomes focused IT professional with an excellent track record in IT service delivery and management. He has 25 years of experience spread across a number of industries including the Government, Financial, Telecommunications and Utility sectors. As a manager of technology functions he has successfully implemented technology strategies and capability that support and enable business strategic plans. As a people manager he has a proven record of developing high performing teams that are responsive, adaptable to change and focused on business outcomes.

During his time at Unitywater where he has responsibility for the IT branch including the IT Strategy & Architecture, Solution Delivery and Vendor Services functions, he has delivered a number of significant outcomes for the business including implementation of a new IT delivery model focussed on leveraging vendor partners like Software AG to deliver services and the development and implementation of an Enterprise IT Strategy that identifies the technology enabled business capabilities required to deliver on the businesses corporate strategic plan.

He is a strong advocate of the need to embrace vendor partners and move away from old school vendor partnering models.

Jennifer Smith

Chief Marketing Officer
Software AG

Jennifer brings almost 20 years of international marketing experience to Software AG as our Chief Marketing Officer. As an experienced marketing executive, she most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer at Globoforce (a SaaS provider of employee recognition solutions) and, before that, at Avid Technology (hardware and software supplier to the media industry) where she re-established the market leadership position of both companies including the growth of their platform adoption and the launch of their digital presence. Previously, Jennifer was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Progress Software, where she led a successful rebranding initiative that significantly increased recognition and awareness for the company. Prior to Progress Software, she has also worked for PeopleSoft and Microsoft in Europe.

Eddie has responsibility globally for business development in strategic industries. This includes the development of highly tailored industry relevant solutions based upon Software AG’s Digital Business Platform. He also leads Software AG’s Industry and Presales Center of Excellence globally. COO & Co-Founder of My Channels, Eddie McDaid, joined Software AG in 2012 when his company was acquired. From April 2012 to November 2013, he took on the role of Managing Director, Universal Messaging for Software AG. November 2013 to September 2015 saw Eddie in the role of SVP, Head of Product Management & Strategy, Streaming Analytics & Big Data and gave him responsibility for product management and strategy for Internet of Things, in-Memory and streaming analytics at Software AG. He has ongoing responsibility for the integration and commercial development of the Universal Messaging business. Eddie is a Member of the Executive Board at Software AG




Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific Japan, Member of the Executive Board, Software AG
Mike Saxton was appointed as Senior Vice President Asia Pacific and Japan in January 2017 following previous roles as a senior member of the leadership team within Software AG. In his new role at Software AG Mike is responsible for driving the APJ business and delivering local business objectives. He began his career at Software AG as a senior member of the leadership team, holding the role of Vice President, APJ before moving on to Senior Vice President and GM, Middle East and Turkey. His career started as a graduate recruit at Barclays Bank before moving into the technology industry as an account manager at Digital Equipment Corporation. From 1985 to 2011 he held various account director and sales director roles at technology and software companies including Sun Microsystems, Hewlett Packard, NEON and TIBCO Software. Mike was educated in London, England and speaks French, German and Spanish in addition to English. Mike is a Member of the Executive Board at Software AG.
