Sanjay Brahmawar is Chief Executive Officer of Software AG, a global technology innovator delivering the world’s first integrated digital business platform and unique in the industry for its extensive portfolio of platform-agnostic software brands. He leads the organization as it ushers in a new era for digitalization, connectivity, AI and Internet of Things-enabled technologies for the more than 70 countries it serves.

Brahmawar served as general manager for global revenue at IBM’s Watson IoT and managed the global business of data analytics and artificial intelligence software products in that capacity. He previously held GM, Vice President and Executive Partner roles within various IBM businesses.

Brahmawar brings hands-on IoT expertise, a wealth of international experience and technical know-how blended with an entrepreneurial vision to Software AG. Prior to IBM, he served at PwC, Fedex, DSM and Honda. He is a frequent guest speaker at industry events and conferences where he demonstrates the value of the connected IoT ecosystem and his obsession for customer-centric innovations that can deliver unprecedented organizational performance.

Brahmawar earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from University of Leeds. He is a citizen of the world, born in India, and having worked and lived in England, Finland, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. An avid cyclist and runner, Brahmawar currently resides in Darmstadt, Germany.

Patrik Sallner

Patrik Sallner

OpusCapita Group

Patrik Sallner joined OpusCapita Group, a subsidiary of the Finnish Posti Group, as CEO in October 2015. He has transformed the company into a leading provider of purchase-to-pay and cash management solutions. OpusCapita’s Business Network connects a million companies and processes over 200 million electronic transactions annually. Leading customers include IBM, Maersk, Schindler, IKEA and Liebherr.

Patrik has previously run three different global software and services businesses.
As CEO of VC-funded start-up MariaDB Corporation, he built MariaDB into the fastest growing relational database. At F-Secure, Patrik ran the global content cloud SaaS business unit. At Nokia Siemens Networks, he built and ran the Hosting Line of Business to pioneer service-based delivery of infrastructure and software to telecom operators globally.

Patrik has a Master’s degree in engineering from Aalto University in Finland and an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Thomson

Jennifer Thomson,

Research Director, European Services, IDC

Jen Thomson is an IDC research director with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Jen provides insights on the investment strategies and decisions of European enterprises around application development and deployment. Her research explores the new rules for apps dev and deploy in a digital economy; and how this impacts enterprise IT organisational structures, culture, processes, tools and skill sets. Additionally, her research looks to uncover end-user strategies, investment priorities and KPIs to enable cloud first, DevOps and agile solution delivery.

Jen leads the European DevOps & Opensource Practice, and provides customers with a view of DevOps enterprise maturity and strategies towards Enterprise scale DevOps. Jen is also an active member of the Digital Transformation, and Cognitive / AI practices with a special research focus on: DevOps for Digital, Agile business transformation, digital assurance strategies; the role of analytics and AI in DevOps.

Thomson has been responsible for the execution of a broad range of consulting and advisory projects. As IDC's European expert on application development and deployment strategies, Thomson is an experienced public speaker and regularly presents at conferences and IDC partner and end-user events.

Before joining IDC, Thomson spent three years with Compaq Computer EMEA as a senior research analyst. Thomson has a bachelor's degree in international business with German from Sheffield Hallam University (United Kingdom) and Pforzheim Fachhochschule (Germany).

Sven Roeleven

Sven Roeleven (1973) is Vice President for Global Industry Solutions at Software AG. Sven and his team of industry leaders are developing industry-specific solutions for digital transformation, by co-innovations with customers and partners. Across all industries, Sven is leader of the Communications & Media vertical.

After graduating in Public Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam, Sven joined Software AG in 2002. He gained extensive hands-on experience covering almost all Software AG’s Digital Business Platform capabilities throughout the course of more than two hundred projects. Sven run Software AG’s consulting services as VP in EMEA and acted as trusted advisor for CxO’s at companies like Royal Philips, ING, Canon, Heineken, Ministries, Sabic and Equinor. In Sven’s current role he is advisor and member of a dozen of Digital Transformation Committee’s.

Veli Pekka Luoma

Veli-Pekka Luoma, M.Sc Econ

Business development director with Digital Intelligence

Veli-Pekka Luoma, M.Sc Econ, is a Business development director with Digital Intelligence in Nokia. Enthusiastic about technology based innovation, Veli-Pekka has been starting and leading data based businesses in different sized from start ups to global scale transformation and introduction of new services. Currently Veli-Pekka is leading innovation activities in Nokia HQ, with the teams buiding 5G and AI powered intelligent communication systems for smart communities of the future.


Marko Honkanen

Head of Global Process Management and Enterprise Architecture

Marko is currently the Head of Global Process Management and Enterprise Architecture at Outokumpu. His previous employers include for example Finnish Defence Forces, Nokia Corporation, Fiskars and HKScan.

His career spans from running his own company with only a few employees to working with 100,000+ colleagues in a big global enterprise. Marko has worked a long time in roles that require high performance in people management, leadership, transformation skills and talent management. For over past 15 years the common nominators in his work have been manufacturing industry combined with processes, IT and transformation in all domains of business. He is a professional people coach, resilience mentor and possesses a health care degree. In every career step, Marko has found himself in a key role on driving changes.

The “thin red line” of his professional career has been “how to make a change and how can I contribute?”



Head of Process Governance and Methodology
Yara International ASA

Stuart is Head of Process Governance and Methodology in the Corporate IT Department of Yara International. He has a career spanning 24 years and started with Yara International in 2014 after having successfully implemented a 6 year process orientation project coupled to a SAP ERP implementation at the European Space Agency in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Previous to that, he has worked as a Business Process Consultant in the Corporate Banking Division of Al Rajhi Bank in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and as a Consultant Business Analyst in the Financial Services Industry in Southern Africa for more than 15 years.

Stuart is responsible for the governance of the Process Classification Framework used across all Yara geographies, providing business process modeling training and methodology support to business users and acting as global process design platform owner. He is supported by a global team of business process consultants who work closely with the process owners in the business segments. Stuart also provides business process insight on projects running across Yara and works closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure a completely integrated enterprise wide ecosystem.

Stuart is also an active steering committee member of the ARIS User Group Nordics which meets twice a year and comprises organisations from a number of industries across Scandinavia and the Baltics.




With nearly 25 years of international experience in management positions in the IT industry – including in the UK, Finland and Silicon Valley, USA – Bernd Gross is one of the German pioneers in digitalization, cloud computing, the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0. Bernd Gross founded Cumulocity in 2012 through a management buy-out from Nokia Siemens Networks.



VP Digital Alliances 

Bart Schouw is the VP for Digital Alliances within Software AG, where he is responsible for the new partner ecosystem that emerges from the IoT initiatives started around the globe. Bart started his career in IT after graduating in Business Administration and has 25+ years of experience in the field. Bart is the driving force behind many innovative projects and is currently involved in a number of strategic projects around the globe. 

Peter Back

Head of Strategic Systems and Chief Solution Architect, Ericsson Managed Services

In his role, Peter defines the strategy and oversees the delivery of the OSS capabilities required to support Ericsson’s Managed Services business over the next 5 to 7 years. In addition, Peter has the overall responsibility to lead and drive the architecture discussion with Ericsson’s Service Delivery organizations, Sourcing, C-Level customers, pre-Sales teams as well as all Market Area divisions. Peter has extensive experience and several leading roles within Telecommunication and IT Operation.


Dave Pemberton

Integration and Process Automation Practice Manager
Software AG

Dave is the Integration and Process Automation Practice Manager in the UK and has a breadth of experience in the areas of Service Oriented Architectures, Enterprise Architecture, Integration, and Business Process Management.

Working at Software AG since 2000, Dave has worked across many industry verticals and technologies, architecting and delivering successful solutions for many of the UK largest government and blue-chip organisations from both a technology and methodology point of view, truly helping them ‘get there faster’.

Eric Roovers

Senior Director Transformation Solutions

Within Europe and the Middle East, Eric Roovers is responsible for Software AG’s transformation and optimisation business. Eric’s mission is to enable the region's teams to excel, to generate more value for customers and to grow our business. Originally coming from a software engineering background, as a consultant Eric specialised in business process management (BPM) and enterprise architecture management (EAM) early on. Since joining IDS Scheer (later acquired by Software AG) in 2006, Eric has delivered numerous critical projects, developed innovative new solutions and has been a driving force in transforming the company to what it is today.
